The bioluminescence method of assessing SOS response in Escherichia coli cells was applied to test the genotoxicity of five complex platinum compounds: cis-diamminedichloroplatinum, cycloplatam, trans-diamminedichloroplatinum, and two trans-binuclear complexes.
