Allele frequencies for a tetrameric short tandem repeat locus, CYP19, were determined in 220 unrelated Japanese individuals. The frequency distribution was similar to that of a previous report. However, PCR amplification using two sets of primers suggested that one allele consisting of 7 TTTA repeats (the allele 7) was divided into two separate ones, 7P (standard) and 7(-3), which differed in length for 3 bp....
