Dipeptidyl peptidase I (DPPI) is a lysosomal cysteine protease that catalyzes the sequential removal of dipeptides from the amino termini of various protein substrates. We have isolated a cDNA coding for murine DPPI from mouse thymus and spleen cDNA libraries.
