Glucose-fructose oxidoreductase (GFOR) of the gram-negative bacterium Zymomonas mobilis is a periplasmic enzyme with the tightly bound cofactor NADP. The preprotein carries an unusually long N-terminal signal sequence of 52 amino acid residues.
