Cysteine string proteins (Csps) are synaptic vesicle proteins thought to be involved in calcium-dependent neurotransmitter release at nerve endings. Here, we report the cloning of two Csp variants, termed Csp1 and Csp2, from bovine adrenal medullary chromaffin cells.
