We developed a panel of non-virus transformed cell lines derived from individual microglial precursors residing in the brains of normal mice. These colony stimulating factor-1-dependent cell lines are B7-1+ (CD80), Mac-1+, Mac-2+, Mac-3+, CD45+, MHC class I+, colony stimulating factor-1 receptor+, and they ingest antibody-coated particles.
