Apolipoprotein J (apoJ), a glycoprotein associated with subclasses of plasma high density lipoproteins (HDL), was found to accumulate in aortic lesions in a human subject with transplantation-associated arteriosclerosis and in mice fed a high-fat atherogenic diet.
