Eighteen strains of Klebsiella pneumoniae recently isolated from hospitalized patients were resistant or moderately resistant to oxyimino-cephalosporins (ceftazidime and/or cefotaxime), aztreonam, cefoxitin and all but one were susceptible to imipenem.
