Three binding sites for C/EBP proteins are found in the human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) long terminal repeat (LTR) (V. M. Tesmer, A. Rajadhyaksha, J. Babin, and M. Bina, Proc. Natl. Acad.
