Equine Juvenile Spinocerebellar Ataxia (EJSCA) is a novel autosomal recessive neurologic disease in Quarter Horses. Affected foals display a progressive proprioceptive ataxia by 1-5 weeks of age, leading to recumbency and necessitating euthanasia.
