Glucuronidation, catalysed by UGT enzymes, plays a key role in the metabolism of clozapine (CLZ) and its active metabolite, norclozapine (NCLZ). Genetic polymorphisms in UGT1A4 and UGT2B10 can influence NCLZ plasma levels.
