PURPOSE: Primary ovarian insufficiency (POI) is an important cause of female infertility, stemming from follicle dysfunction or premature oocyte depletion. Pathogenic variants in genes such as NOBOX, GDF9, BMP15, and FSHR have been linked to POI.
