BACKGROUND: Lynch syndrome (LS) is an autosomal-dominant, hereditary cancer predisposition syndrome caused by pathogenic variants (PVs) in one of the mismatch-repair genes MLH1, MSH2/EPCAM, MSH6, or PMS2.
