Paragangliomas are neuroendocrine tumors that have the potential to secrete catecholamines. They have been linked to genetic mutations in the mitochondrial succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) complex. Patients can experience both physical symptoms and psychiatric symptoms like anxiety, depression, and psychosis.
