GENETIC SUSCEPTIBILITY TO OVARIAN CANCERS About 15% of ovarian cancers are hereditary. Hereditary ovarian cancers are caused by a germline pathogenic variant in a susceptibility gene, mainly BRCA1 and BRCA2.
