BACKGROUND & AIMS: Primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) is characterized by biliary senescence and hepatic fibrosis. Melatonin exerts its effects by interacting with Melatonin receptor 1 and 2 (MT1/MT2) melatonin receptors.
