OBJECTIVE: Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) constitute a heterogeneous group of clonal hematological diseases. Previous investigations reported that tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) gene polymorphisms were associated with MDS susceptibility, but the results remained controversial.
