BACKGROUND: CDK10 is a poorly known cyclin M (CycM)-dependent kinase. Loss-of-function mutations in the genes encoding CycM or CDK10 cause, respectively, STAR or Al Kaissi syndromes, which present a constellation of malformations and dysfunctions.
