Malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors (MPNSTs) are aggressive Schwann cell-derived neoplasms that occur sporadically or in patients with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1). Preclinical research on sporadic MPNSTs has been limited as few cell lines exist.
