The multidrug-resistant pathogen Acinetobacter baumannii displays unusual control of its SOS mutagenesis genes, as it does not encode a LexA repressor, but instead employs the UmuDAb repressor and a small protein, DdrR, that is uniquely found in Acinetobacter species.
