Lung cancer ranks number one among the all cancer types in the world, out of which 85% are non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). In case of NSCLC, a substitution mutation of Leu 858 Arg (L858R) in the gene of Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) has been reported.
