Ginsenoside Rh2 (3β-O-Glc-protopanaxadiol), a trace but an important pharmacological component of ginseng, has exhibited excellent medicinal potential. Many studies have found that the synthesis of Rh2 by UDP-glucosyltransferase (UGT) is an alternative production strategy.
