Zolpidem is predominantly metabolized by CYP3A4, and to a lesser extent by CYP2C9, CYP1A2, CYP2D6 and CYP2C19. The aim of this study was to identify the effects of CYP2C9*3 allele on the pharmacokinetics of zolpidem. Healthy male subjects were divided into two genotype groups, CYP2C9*1/*1 and CYP2C9*1/*3.
