RNase P, an essential ribonucleoprotein enzyme is involved in processing 5' end of pre-tRNA molecules. All bacterial RNase P holoenzymes, including that of Mycobacterim tuberculosis, an important human pathogen contain a catalytically active RNA subunit and a protein subunit.
