Mg2+ serves as an essential cofactor for numerous enzymes and its levels are tightly regulated by various Mg2+ transporters. Here, we analyzed Caenorhabditis elegans strains carrying mutations in genes encoding cyclin M (CNNM) Mg2+ transporters.
