Abstract excerpt

Immunogenetic analysis of HLA II genes (DRB1, DRB3, DQB1) in asthma patients in Uzbek population has been performed. One hundred and nine patients with asthma, including 55 with atopic asthma and 54 with nonatopic asthma, were examined. Positive association of DRB1*03 allele with atopy has been found. Negative additive associations with atopy were found in the presence of DRB1*13 and DQB1*0602 alleles in both groups.
