Hereditary leiomyomatosis and renal cell carcinoma (HLRCC) syndrome is an autosomal dominant syndrome that results from mutations in the fumarate hydratase (FH) gene. Patients with HLRCC are at risk for smooth muscle tumors of the uterus and skin as well as renal tumors.
