Forkhead box (FOX) F2 and FOXC2 belong to the FOX transcription factor superfamily. FOXC2 is recognized as an inducer of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), and its overexpression promotes basal-like breast cancer (BLBC) metastasis.
