OBJECTIVE: Neonatal-onset multisystem inflammatory disease (NOMID) is a dominantly inherited autoinflammatory disease caused by NLRP3 mutations. NOMID pathophysiology is explained by the NLRP3 inflammasome, which produces interleukin-1β (IL-1β).
