Biochemical and genetic analyses have been carried out on Saccharomyces cerevisiae strains characterized in vivo as sensitive, low-level-resistant or high-level-resistant to trichothecene antibiotics. Levels of drug resistance in vitro were determined for each strain and for suitable diploids derived from them. Ribosome biogenesis was also studied in selected haploids.
