BACKGROUND: Eight diverse sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) accessions were subjected to short-read genome sequencing to characterize the distribution of single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs). Two strategies were used for DNA library preparation. Missing SNP genotype data were imputed by local haplotype comparison.
