Henoch-Schönlein purpura (HSP) is an immune complex-mediated systemic vasculitis. Its genetic etiology remains unknown. CD18, the subunit of integrin beta2 in leukocytes, has essential roles in the expression and function of ITGB2, mediating immune responses.
