SUMMARY: Platelet transfusions, main therapy of Glanzmann Thromboasthenia (GT), can induce an allo-immunization against human leucocyte antigen and integrin alphaIIbbeta3. We have investigated in our GT patients the rate of allo-immunization and of refractoriness to platelet transfusions.
