LapB is a non-heme Fe(II)-dependent 2,3-dioxygenase that catalyzes the second step of a long-chain alkylphenol (lap) degradation pathway in Pseudomonas sp. KL28 and belongs to the superfamily of type I extradiol dioxygenases.
