Cerebral autosomal dominant arteriopathy with subcortical infarcts and leucoencephalopathy (CADASIL) is clinically characterized by migraines with aura, recurrent ischemic strokes, cognitive and behaviour impairments and dementia and shows typical histological lesions in the muscular arteries.
