The Arg97 --> Gly and Asp136 --> His mutations stabilized So-RNase HI from the psychrotrophic bacterium Shewanella oneidensis MR-1 by 5.4 and 9.7 degrees C, respectively, in T(m), and 3.5 and 6.1 kJ x mol(-1), respectively, in DeltaG(H2O).
