In humans, Dent's disease, an X-linked renal tubular disorder, is characterized by low molecular weight proteinuria, aminoaciduria, glycosuria, hyperphosphaturia, hypercalciuria, nephrolithiasis, progressive renal failure and sometimes rickets or osteomalacia.
