The spectrum of anorectal malformations (ARM) comprises anal stenosis, ectopic anus, recto-urogenital fistula, persistent cloaca, multisystem VACTERL (VATER associations including cardiac and limb anomalies) associations, and exstrophy of the cloaca (CE).
