PURPOSE: Polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV) is a major cause of serosanguinous maculopathy in Chinese patients with age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Variants in the CFH and HTRA1/LOC387715 genes are strongly associated with AMD in Caucasians and Chinese.
