OBJECTIVE: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) induce gastroduodenal mucosal injury and are metabolized by cytochrome P450 2C9 (CYP2C9). It is postulated that CYP2C9 genotype is associated with NSAID-induced gastropathy.
