INTRODUCTION: CYP3A7*1C polymorphism has been shown to be associated with lower levels of serum dehydroepiandrosterone sulphate in men. The age-related decline of dehydroepiandrosterone sulphate levels is believed to contribute to the development of osteoporosis.
