We identified a family with gray platelet syndrome (GPS) segregating as a sex-linked trait. Affected males had a mild bleeding disorder, thrombocytopenia, and large agranular platelets characteristic of GPS, while obligate carrier females were asymptomatic but had dimorphic platelets on peripheral smear.
