OBJECTIVES: We undertook to maintain human nasal polyp tissue in a viable and functional state in SCID (severe combined immunodeficiency) mice. METHODS: Small, nondisrupted pieces of human nasal polyp tissues were subcutaneously implanted into SCID mice depleted of natural killer cells.
