The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of PI3K-Akt signaling in prostate cancer cell growth and androgen receptor (AR)-mediated gene expression. Androgen-dependent LNCaP cells and their androgen-independent counterpart, LNCaP-AI cells, were used.
