We have identified a UDP-glucose-binding site within human UDP-glucose dehydrogenase (hUGDH) by photoaffinity labeling with a specific probe, [(32)P]5N(3)UDP-glucose, and cassette mutagenesis using a synthetic hUGDH gene.
