We evaluated the major pathways of cholesterol regulation in the peroxisome-deficient PEX2(-/-) mouse, a model for Zellweger syndrome. Zellweger syndrome is a lethal inherited disorder characterized by severe defects in peroxisome biogenesis and peroxisomal protein import.
