OBJECTIVE: The low-affinity receptor Fcgamma receptor IIb (FcgammaRIIb), with an immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif (ITIM) in the cytoplasmic domain, down-regulates humoral immune responses and modulates the risk of autoimmunity in animal models.
