A leukaemia presenting with two morphologically different blast populations failed to respond to either antimyeloid or antilymphoid treatment and showed a rapid clinical progression. Immunophenotyping provided good evidence for two blast populations, one lymphoid and the other lymphoid with granulocyte monocytic markers.
