A deletion mutation in the Antennapedia Complex of Drosophila melanogaster, Df(3R)SCBXL2, induces both dominant and recessive loss-of-function phenotypes. The deletion is associated with diminished function of proboscipedia (pb), a homeotic gene required for mouthparts formation.
