PURPOSE: To investigate the effect of low doses of 60 kVp X-rays on in vitro transformation frequency. MATERIALS AND METHODS: HeLa x skin fibroblast human hybrid cells were used to assay transformation from the non-tumorigenic to the tumorigenic phenotype.
